Man kills grandmother in Limpopo

JOHANNESBURG, October 19 – A 36-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attacking and his 92-year-old grandmother in a village near Lebowakgomo, Polokwane, Limpopo police said.

”It is alleged that the suspect entered the deceased’s bedroom through the window, attacked and assaulted her to death. Police were summoned and started with their initial investigations,” said police spokesman Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

“The suspect was immediately arrested at the scene after he was positively linked to the incident. The motive behind this incident is still unknown at this stage, but domestic violence may not be ruled out.”

The grandmother was identified as Rebeccah Chuene Ramadimetja. The grandson will appear in the Thabomoopo Magistrate’s Court soon to face a murder charge. (ANA)
