WATCH: City of Joburg Emergency Services pay a moving tribute to fallen heroes and their former colleagues

In honour of the three brave firefighters who lost their lives battling the deadly blaze at the 23-storey Bank of Lisbon building in Johannesburg CBD, the City of Joburg Emergency Services has created a moving tribute video, showing the struggles firefighters had to go through, fighting the blaze and also saving lives.

Three firefighters Simphiwe Moropane (28), Khathutshelo Muedi (37)  and Mduduzi Ndlovu (40) died while trying to battle the blaze.

At least 13 officials from the provincial department of health were hospitalised and were treated for smoke inhalation.
