Police recover stolen loot in a church, arrest three

JOHANNESBURG, July 23  – Three suspects, including a 42-year-old salon owner, will appear before Welkom Magistrate Court on Monday for possession of suspected stolen items which were recovered from a church, Free State police said.

Captain Stephen Thakeng said police detectives were told that thieves had broken into a house in Phomolong Village, Welkom.

Investigations implicated the owner of a salon in Welkom CBD. He led the police to a church in Melk Street, where a stolen desktop computer, sound system, and mixer were found.
