It may come as a shock to most South Africans when English actor, rapper, and comedian Michael Dapaah aka Big Shaq of ‘Mans not hot’ fame, said on the red carpet of the BET Awards that he used to live in South Africa’s East London.
When asked by Pearl Boshomane if he has been to South Africa, Big Shag replied: “I used to live there, in East London.”

Big shag further said that he lived in East London because his dad used to work there as a doctor.
“I went to school there, my brother was born in Umtata, St Marys’ Hospital,” he said.
He went on to share that he was going to come back for a visit some time in August this year.
Big shag’s new song is called Man don’t dance which currently (at the time of writing) has over 16 million views on YouTube.
