Culpable homicide probe after two people die in Limpopo car crash

TZANEEN, June 23 – Police in Ritavi at Tzaneen are investigating a case of culpable homicide after two people died in a car crash near the town, Limpopo police said on Saturday.

“The police in Ritavi outside Tzaneen are still investigating the cause of a fatal accident which occurred at Tarentaar junction along the Tzaneen and Phalaborwa road at about 20 kilometres outside Tzaneen,” Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said.

Two motor vehicles collided and two people were certified dead at the scene. The jaws-of-life were used to remove the bodies from the wreckage. A culpable homicide case was opened for further police investigations, Ngoepe said.
