JOHANNESBURG, April 13 – Kaizer Chiefs have injury problems ahead of their Absa Premiership match against Platinum Stars at FNB Stadium on Sunday (start at 3pm).
“We have a few injury concerns to deal with after the Chippa United game,” said Chiefs’ first team physiotherapist David Milner on Friday. “The match resulted in three players getting injuries.”
Ramahlwe Mphahlele was substituted 14 minutes into the game with hamstring problems.
“Rama will take seven days to recover from the hamstring,” Milner explained. “We will be monitoring him over the next few days.”
Chiefs ended the match playing with 10-men after Erick Mathoho got injured when the substitutions were already exhausted.
“Erick had a blow to the head and felt dizzy,” said the physiotherapist. “He will be out for seven to ten days.”
Teenage Hadebe, meanwhile, injured his ankle and will be assessed in the next four days.
The Zimbabwean defender, however, would have missed the Dikwena game anyway due to having collected four yellow cards.
