Two Durban boys killed in crash on way to school

DURBAN, April 12 – Two boys, aged 6 and 11, died on their way to school on Thursday morning after a minibus taxi crashed into them in Durban.

Kwazulu-Natal’s Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Robert Mckenzie, said the accident happened just after 8am on Dumisani Makhaye Drive in Newlands West, Durban.


“When paramedics arrived on scene they were directed to the two boys, aged six and 11. Sadly both children, who had been on their way to school, had sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased at the scene”, he said.


Police were on the scene investigating the cause of the accident.
