Johannesburg – The Police in Ritavi outside Tzaneen have launched a massive manhunt for a group of armed suspects who attacked and robbed a cash-in-transit vehicle this morning on the 2018-02-02 at about 06:00.
“It is alleged that a group of armed suspects attacked the vehicle along Khujwana and Lephaphane road. The car was enroute to the social grants paypoint at Lephepane village when the suspects shot at it several times and further blew it up with the explosives before they fled the scene with undisclosed amount of money and two firearms which they robbed from the security officials taking the Tzaneen and Lydenburg road towards Hoedspruit with two vehicles, which are both white and black Bmw’s”, said LT. Colonel Moatshe’ Ngoepe.
According to Ngoepe there were no injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident and suspects in the matter are still unknown and there is no arrest”.
