Missing Limpopo toddler found dead

JOHANNESBURG, December 5 – A two-year-old girl who went missing after her allegedly intoxicated parents stopped for a rest and fell asleep has been found dead, Limpopo police said on Tuesday.

”The missing child Ntlaleng Kgola, 2, from Emelman village was found dead at a distance away from the missing spot Monday afternoon. There is no foul play suspected at this stage … an inquest case was opened,” said spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

The parents were walking home through bushes near Giyani with the toddler and her four-year-old sister on Sunday when they stopped and then fell asleep under a tree.

When they woke up at around 7pm, they found that Ntlaleng was missing and reported the matter to the police, who immediately launched a search operation.
