BLOEMFONTEIN, November 30 – Bloemfontein Celtic are in a positive mood ahead of their Telkom Knockout Final against Bidvest Wits to be played at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban on Saturday night.
Captain Patrick Amour Tignyemb and rookie Tshegofatso Mabasa were just two of the players in buoyant mood at Celtic’s media open day on Wednesday.
“What is helping us this season is that we are fighting for each other,” said Tignyemb. “For me, it will be a great achievement to win the trophy for the second time.
“The coach and technical team are not putting pressure on us – instead they are constantly reminding us to continue playing with tactical discipline and to convert our chances. Wits have good players but we have huge self-belief and are confident of taking the title.”
Mabasa shared the sentiments. “The mood in the camp is extremely high and the guys are happy. My team-mates can’t wait for the game and we are in a good space ahead of the final.
“As players, we need to thank our fans for their support and we urge them to paint the stadium green-and-white this Saturday.”
