Russia, November 15 – A delegation from South Africa that will include Minister of Mineral Resources Mosebenzi Joseph Zwane and businesspeople will visit the Eastern Economic Forum in the Russian city of Vladivostok in 2018 for the first time, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East said Wednesday.
“The agreement on participation of Mosebenzi Zwane and a business delegation from South Africa in the IVth Eastern Economic Forum was reached during today’s meeting . It is pleasant that our first meeting has already brought specific results and steps.
Earlier, in such a rapid pace, our relations with India were developing and today, we have Indian investment projects being implemented in the Far East,” Minister for the Far East Development Alexander Galushka was quoted as saying in a statement.
Zwane confirmed the visit at a press briefing after the talks with the Russian officials.
The fourth Eastern Economic Forum will be held on September 6-7, 2018, in Vladivostok. On the side-lines of the 2017 Eastern Economic Forum, a total of 217 agreements worth of some $42 billion were signed.
