Berlin, November 14 – Taylor Swift’s new album “Reputation” sold 925,000 copies in the first three days since its launch, putting the 27-year-old US pop star on track for her largest sales week ever.
The album sold around 700,000 copies in the US when it launched on Friday and continued to sell at a quick pace through the weekend, according to music chart Billboard, which cited market research firm Nielsen Music.
The debut week for “Reputation,” which ends November 16, could see sales surpass that of her last album, “1989,” which posted 1.29 million copies sold. According to the Billboard report, Swift is the only musician to have had three different albums launch with sales of more than 1 million copies in the first week.
Swift has so far not published the new album on streaming platforms like Spotify or Apple Music.
