Man dies, another injured after tuck overturns in Bloemfontein

JOHANNESBURG, November 10 – A man, believed to be in his 20s, was killed and another of a similar age suffered injuries on Friday morning after their truck overturned along the N1 south-bound highway, about 45 km outside of Bloemfontein.
ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics found the truck lying on its roof on the side of the road. “The body of a man was found lying inside the vehicle while the second man was found lying a few metres away from the truck.”
Meiring said paramedics assessed the patients and found that the man trapped inside the truck, had sustained numerous injuries. “Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead.” The survivor was treated for his injuries and taken to Pelonomi Hospital.
Local authorities investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
