One killed, two injured in Mpumalanga car crash

SECUNDA, July 30 – One person was killed and two other people were injured when a Toyota Tazz and a VW Polo collided on Graceland Road in Secunda in Mpumalanga on Saturday night, paramedics said.

When ER24 arrived on the scene, the driver of the Polo was walking around on the the scene, ER24 spokeswoman Ineke van Huyssteen said on Sunday.

“The passenger of the Toyota Tazz was lying outside of the vehicle. The driver of the Toyota Tazz was lying partially on the passenger seat. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for the driver and he was declared dead by ER24 on the scene.”

Another medical service on the scene transported the two injured people to a nearby hospital for further medical care. The circumstance surrounding the accident were not yet known, Van Huyssteen said.
