CAPE TOWN – A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of three-year-old Courtney Pieters, Western Cape police said on Monday.
“Investigators who worked around the clock to ensure that the perpetrator who is responsible for the death of Courtney Pieters whose body was found on Saturday in Bofors Circle, Epping Industries led to the arrest of a suspect last [Sunday] night,” police spokesman FC van Wyk said.
“The 40-year-old suspect was arrested at Saturn Close, Salberau, Elsiesrivier and once he has been charged he is expected to appear in Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder.”
Pieters was last seen on May 4 in front of her home in Elsies River. Her body was found in a shallow grave in Epping on Saturday.
